The Department of Public Administration teaches the principles, practice and contemporary problems of governance. The curriculum covers Administrative Theory, Administrative Thought, Indian Administration, Personnel Administration, Financial Administration, Environment Administration, Local Self-Government, Development Administration and Public Policy.
The department also teaches the subject of Defence & Strategic Studies from the session 2024-25. The curriculum covers National Security, International Relations, National Cadet Corps, Concept of Warfare and Indian Armed Forces.
The department actively prepares students for civil services, state services, defence services and postgraduate study, with regular guest lectures by serving and retired administrators.
