What your proposal must contain
Applicants must submit a written research proposal in their broader subject area, not exceeding 2500–3000 words. The research area will only be finalised in consultation with the supervisor after admission.
The research proposal must be submitted along with the application form and should contain:
- Area of Research
- Tentative Title
- Introduction
- Review of Literature
- Research Gaps
- Research Problem and Questions
- Objectives and Hypotheses
- Data Sources
- Methodology
- References
Interviews
Interviews will be held on 22nd and 23rd October, 2026. The final interview date and time for each candidate will be displayed on the College website.
Assessment and Selection
The department will assess applicants’ subject knowledge and research aptitude based on their written research proposal, presentation and interview. Applicants must prepare an 8–10 minute PowerPoint presentation on their research proposal for the interview.
