The Sri Guru Gobind Singh College campus maintains a Library which supports the academic programs of the college and serves as a center for study and learning. In campus, the staff is accessible, always ready to assist students, and committed to teaching information literacy and lifelong learning skills.

Apart from general books the text-book section has also been well stocked for the benifit of such students as they cannot afford to buy these text-books. There are more than 42,000 books in the library. Books are issued only to the bonafide students and members of the staff. The college subscribes to the important newspapers and magazines numbering more than 100. Students are helped by the Professors/Tutors/Librarian in selective reading.

Rules:
1.
The Library remains open during college hours for issue and return of books.
2.
Library books will be issued to the students on student diary which will be stamped by the Assistant Librarian every time a book is borrowed or returned.
3. Students can draw books from the library as follow:
All classes:2 at a time
Honours Students:4 at a time
Members of Staff:15 at a time including text-books.
4.Honours students with aptitude for study can be issued additional books with the permission of the Principal.
5.The student may retain books borrowed from the library for a period of 14 days.
6.A penalty for Rs. 2/- per day will be charged if the books are not returned on time.
7.The college reserves the right of recalling a book, whenever necessary.
8.If a student loses or damages a library book, he/she will be required to replace it or pay penalty equal to double its price alongwith the usual late return penalty of Rs. 2/- per day.
9.The librarian has the authority to bar the entry of a student to the library, if he/she talks loudly and creates disturbance.
10.Students are required to possess their dairy while inside the Library. The defaulters will be penalized.
11.Before a student leaves the college or migrates to some other college or gets his roll number for University Examinations he/she will have to return all the library books and obtain No Dues Certificate from the librarian.
12.The books can, however, be re-issued on the payment of special security at double the price of the books issued, which is refundable immediately on the return of books.
