Normal Admission
Candidates seeking admission during normal admission period are required to adhere to the admission schedule and appear personally with the required testimonials and documents before the admission committee between 9 a.m to l.00 p.m and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on all working days. The college reserves the right to refuse admission to any person without assigning any reason.

NOTE :-

1.
All Admissions are provisional and subject to the approval of Panjab University. The college will not be responsible, if at any stage, a candidate is declared ineligible for admission to any particular class by Panjab University. Claims for refund of fees on this account will not be entertained. The candidates are, therefore, advised in their own interest to confirm eligibility from University and not to make any wrong or incomplete statement/declaration neither hide some necessary facts nor attach false or incomplete documents.

Migration Certificate is not required if a student has passed 10+2 from State Boards of School Education of Punjab, Haryana and H.P. or Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi
.
2.
The reservation of seats shall be governed by the Regulation 29.1 and 29.2 given at page 168 in P.U. Cal. Volume-I, 2005 and intimation(s) received from D.R. (Collleges)
3.
The College reserves seats for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes in accordance with the Regulations and Instruction, issued as per the reservation policy of Chandigarh Administration.
4.
3% of seats are reserved for candidates with disabilities as per Section. 39 of Persons with Disabilities Act,1955.
5.
5% weightage is given to wards of Kashmiri Displaced Persons for determining merit, provided the candidates fulfill the minimum prescribed qualifications wherever applicable for all courses.
6.
5% additional seats (subject to maximum of 3 seats) are offered to wards of Kashmiri Displaced Persons at entry point in all courses, if reservation policy approved by University exists.
7.
Regular candidates of B.A./B.Sc/B.Com./BCA of affiliated college may be allowed to pursue a subject of interest respectively for B.A./B.Sc/B.Com./BCA (Pass as well as Honours) courses, in which his/her college is not affiliated, by attending the prescribed course of instruction in that subject in another college affiliated for it, in accordance with the provisions of Regulation 25 appearing at page 54 of P.U. Cal. Vol. II, 2000 (previously page 55 of P.U. Cal Vol. II, 1995) by paying requisite fee.
8.
For Admission, fraction of marks less than requisite percentage would not be rounded off to the advantage of candidate.
9.
The examination conducted by the Bihar Intermediate Education Council, Patna (Bihar), is now recognized (Syndicate Meeting 30.04.2004, para 27) for purposes of admission to various courses at the Panjab University from the session 2004-05.
10.
The holders of N.C.C. A, B & C certificates shall be given the weightage in marks as under-

Casual Admission
Only students enrolled with Department of Correspondence Studies, PU can join as casual students. However these admissions are at the discretion of Principal.

Admission In Case of Late Declaration of Results
1.
For a student whose result of +2 examination conduced by a school Board is declared late, later than 10th August 2007, the normal admission will be made without late fee within 15 working days of the declaration of the result and his/her attendance shall be counted from the date of actual admission. The rule will also apply to candidates who have passed the lower examination from Open School Board, Delhi.
2.
After the expiry of the above said period, the late admission approval from the Vice-Chancellor is required. In the case of Panjab University, students who have already appeared in any of its examinations and the result is declared late, admissions to the next class/course may be allowed within 10 days, from the date of communication of the result, without charging any late fee.
3.
The Vice Chancellor may sanction admission of candidate whose re-evaluation result is declared after 31st December with subsequent ratification by the syndicate.

Documents Required for Admission
The applicants must produce the following documents in original, at the time of the admission and also attach attested copies of these with their application forms :-
1.
Matriculation Certificate/Lower Exam Pass Certificate.

2.
University /Board Certificate of the last examination passed.

3.
Character Certificate from the Principal/Headmaster/Chairperson of the College/School/University last attended.

4.
Three Passport size recent photographs (preferably coloured).

5.
Migration Certificate (for the student migrating from Boards other than Board of School Education Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pardesh & C.B.S.E. Delhi). The candidates coming from other Universities/Boards/Councils/Bodies should bring with them, qualifying exam certificate at the time of seeking admission. Migration Certificate can be submitted latest before 30th of September

6.
Eligibility Certificate from the Panjab University (for foreign student only).

7.
Student Visa and Resident Permit (For foreign student only).

8.
Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes/Backward Class certificates from an authorised officer (for students belonging to these categories only).

9.
Wards of Kashmiri Displaced Persons to provide attested copy of certificate from an authorised government officer showing applicant to be ward of Kashmiri displaced person who was previously permanent resident of Kashmir.

Rules of Eligibility For Admission
Foreign Students

1.
Admission will be given on the basis of merit/interview, subject to rules and regulations framed college.

2.
All Foreign students are required to obtain Eligibility Certificate from the Joint Registrar,University, in all cases before seeking admission.

3.
No Admission will be granted to foreign students if they do not possess Student or Provisional Visa endorsed on their passports

4.
The admission of the foreign students to the college would be goverened by the guidelines issued by the Dean Foreign students, Panjab University.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com - 1)

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com - 2 & 3)

Master of Commerce (Two Year Semester System Course)

Students seeking admission in first year must have passed B.Com or B.B.A examination or any other degree recognised by Panjab University as equivalent to B.Com or B.B.A course.

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA - 1)

Candidates possessing the following qualifications are eligible for seeking admission to 1st year of BCA course:-
1. 10+2 examination in any discipline even without having passed Mathematics/Statistic as one the subjects with at least 50% marks.

2. The candidate should have passed mathematics as one of the subjects at the matriculati examination.

Any other examination recognized by the syndicate as equivalent to (a) above

NOTE :-

1. A candidate who has been placed under compartment in the +2 examination is not eligible for seeking admission to this course.

2. Student once admitted will not be allowed migration to other college.

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA - 2 & 3)

A person who has passed BCA I/II from Panjab University is eligible for admission.

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA - Hons)

A Person who has passed B.C.A. examination from the P.U. or any other University recognised by the syndicate as equivalent thereto shall be eligible to join B.C.A (Hons) Course

Master of Science (Information Technology)
(Two Year Semester System Course)

A person who has passed B.C.A or B.Sc (Hons) in Computer Science or B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science from the Panjab University or any other University recognized by the syndicate as equivalent thereto shall be eligible to join M.Sc (IT) - I.

Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA One Year Course)

All graduates are eligible for this course. Admission will be purely on the basis of merit.

A person who has passed with a minimum of 33% marks in aggregate in the 10+2 examination of the recognized Boards or its equivalent.

B.A. I/II from any other University with same subjects/scheme of course prescribed or have to pass deficient subjects. Eligibility is required to be confirmed from PU

(Two Year Course - Annual System)

Master of Arts (MA - English)
(Annual System)

1.
Admission to M.A. is generally on the basis of merit. Preference is given to students who had opted the subject of M.A. as one of the Elective in B.A.

2.
In case of M.A. English student with Elective English should have scored atleast 45% in B.A. However, students having General English should have scored 50%. Students of B.Com./B.Sc should have atleast 50% marks in aggregate.

3.
Admission shall be according to PU rules and regulations.
