|
A Compulsory qualifying non-credit
paper of 100 marks* of 'Environmental Education' has been prescribed
for the B.A./B.Sc./B.Com/B.C.A. Courses. It will be taught only in the
first year. The candidates are required to qualify (33 marks) either
in the 1st year, 2nd year or 3rd year of the course. The examination
on 'Environmental Education' would be conducted by the Panjab
University. Nature of examination will be as per decision of PU.

Students of B.A / B.Sc / B.Com / B.C.A
- I are required to opt a compulsory subject Punjabi or History &
Culture of Punjab (HCP). HCP is allowed as an option in lieu of
Punjabi (Compulsory) in the following individual hardship cases :-
(1) Students who are not domiciled in Punjab and have not studied Punjabi upto class 10th, i.e. Matric (2) Wards of/and Defence personnel and Central Govt. employees & employees who are transferable on all India basis. (3) Foreigners |

Introduction to Computer
Science: It is an additional optional
subject which is offered to students of first year. They may clear the
examination for this course during their stay of three years in the
college. In the case of those who qualify this course, the marks
obtained would be mentioned in the Detailed Marks Card, but these
marks would not be counted towards the aggregate marks. The Panjab
University will conduct the theory examination for this course every
year at the time of annual examinations. The examination fee will be
Rs. 200/-. The College will charge Rs. 1200/- per annum per student
towards Infrastructure Development Fund.
The students offering B.C.A. or Computer Science and Applications at the Undergraduate level would not be enrolled for 'Introduction to Computer Science |
| Carrier Oriented Add-On Courses |

Following carrier oriented
courses are offered to students of B.Com at 1st Degree level
(1) Banking Management (2) Insurance Business (3) Entrepreneurship in Small Business Students can takeup any one of these. Each course consists of three parts 1, II & III. Student has liberty to pass Part-I in any class (I, II or III) but Part-II & III should be passed after passing B.Com-I / B.Com-II. |
